Starting next October, Valencia will feature a new tourist information office located in one of the city's most emblematic spaces, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. This initiative stems from the agreement signed today between the Visit València Foundation and Les Arts, aiming to strengthen visitor services and promote a more balanced distribution of tourist flows, particularly beyond the historic center and within the City of Arts and Sciences itself.
The creation of this office marks a historic step for Valencian tourism, as it will provide essential information services in the city's second-largest tourist hub, benefiting both visitors and residents. The agreement, initially for four years with an option to extend, includes the cession of space in the ticket area of the building designed by Santiago Calatrava.
The new office will offer detailed information on the city's tourist offerings, the cultural programming of Les Arts, and the resources of the City of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, it will include an accessible service module for people with disabilities, underscoring Valencia's commitment to inclusive and barrier-free tourism.
The Councilor for Tourism, Innovation, and Investment Attraction, Paula Llobet, highlighted that this opening is part of the city's strategy to bring services closer to citizens and visitors at key attraction points. "We want to improve the experience of those who visit us, provide them with quality information from the outset, and at the same time, promote a more balanced distribution of tourist flows, highlighting significant spaces like the City of Arts and Sciences and, specifically, Les Arts," stated Llobet, who also noted the proximity of the tourist bus stop.
For her part, the regional secretary of Culture, Marta Alonso, emphasized the importance of synergies between administrations to strengthen the tourist and cultural excellence of the Valencian Community. "Les Arts and the Visit València Foundation are sealing a strategic alliance that will increase the visibility and projection of both entities, reinforcing Valencia's position as a top-tier cultural destination," she affirmed.
The agreement also includes promotional actions for Les Arts, aiming to enhance its international projection and consolidate it as one of the city's main cultural icons.
