The new Kia EV2, an urban electric SUV, is emerging as one of the brand's major commitments to sustainable mobility, excelling in technology, comfort, and efficiency, with its anticipated arrival at Kia Marcos Automoción.

This model, which has not yet arrived at Kia Marcos Automoción facilities, is already generating anticipation due to its balanced combination of size, technology, range, and price. With a length of 4.06 meters, the Kia EV2 features a modern and functional design, with short overhangs and wheels at the extremes, giving it a robust aesthetic similar to higher-end models like the EV3.
Despite its compact dimensions, the vehicle's interior surprises with its spaciousness and versatility. It offers the option of configuring it with four or five seats and has a trunk that can reach up to 1,200 liters with the seats folded down, optimizing space for daily use.
The cabin of the Kia EV2 integrates technology and simplicity, with a triple-screen system that includes digital instrumentation, independent climate control, and a comprehensive multimedia system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This setup is complemented by good quality materials and adjustments designed for durability and comfort.
Mechanically, the Kia EV2 will be equipped with a 147 HP electric motor and two battery options. The entry-level version will offer 42.2 kWh with a range of around 317 kilometers, while the higher-capacity variant, with 61 kWh, can achieve up to 453 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. Additionally, it will allow fast charging with direct current up to 118 kW and alternating current options up to 22 kW.
One of the Kia EV2's strong points is its high driving comfort, especially regarding cabin silence. Kia has put special emphasis on acoustic insulation, using absorbent materials, soundproofed glass, and specific solutions to reduce road noise, wind, and vibrations, even at high speeds.
The vehicle's reliability in demanding conditions has been tested in Norway, where, at temperatures as low as -21 °C, the 61 kWh version managed to exceed 300 kilometers of real-world range. Charging times were also competitive, with recharges from 10% to 80% taking approximately 36 minutes.
Manufactured in Europe and designed with the European driver in mind, the Kia EV2 is presented as an accessible and complete option within the electric vehicle segment. With an estimated price of less than 20,000 euros with aid, it positions itself as an attractive alternative for those looking to transition to electric mobility.
