This initiative, funded by the Government of Spain with a subsidy of 562,947 euros, aims to accelerate the rehabilitation of areas affected by the storm. The hired personnel, covering a wide range of profiles from technical to essential trades, will work for three months to meet various municipal needs.
The professional profiles incorporated are very diverse, ranging from technical and social fields such as engineering, social work, education, or tourist information, to essential trades for the daily recovery of Silla, such as masonry, gardening, cleaning, painting, or environmental maintenance.
This new program continues the first Dana Employment Plan, which already enabled the hiring of 61 people for six months with an investment exceeding 714,000 euros. In that initial phase, efforts were particularly focused on industrial estates and the Albufera Natural Park, two of the areas most damaged by the storm.
“"They not only allow progress in the recovery of the municipality but also generate employment opportunities for our neighbors. It is a historic investment with a direct impact on the quality of life."
The mayor of Silla, Vicente Zaragozá, highlighted the strategic value of these initiatives, emphasizing the importance of institutional collaboration to address an exceptional situation and ensure that resources effectively reach citizens. With the sum of both plans, Silla has received over 1.27 million euros in state subsidies, facilitating the hiring of a total of 142 people.
