The investigation, as reported by the Superior Police Headquarters of the Valencian Community, began following testimonies from several South American women. These women alerted authorities to the possible existence of an organization that recruited vulnerable women for sexual exploitation.
Inquiries confirmed that the activity was carried out in properties set up as brothels, managed by the main suspects. Some victims were lured under the promise of working as masseuses, but once there, they were forced into prostitution.
Those responsible for the network maintained constant control over the women, both through their mobile phones and via video surveillance systems. Additionally, they imposed financial penalties if internal rules were not followed, and in cases of conflict, they expelled them using violence.
As part of the operation, agents conducted simultaneous raids at the locations where the activity took place and at the home of two of the detainees, located in Alfafar. During these actions, prepared narcotics for sale, documentation related to the business's accounting, and notebooks with records of income and fines imposed on victims for various reasons, such as not performing cleaning duties or being absent without permission, were seized.
A realistic-looking detonator revolver, cash, and various tools linked to drug use by clients were also confiscated. The operation concluded with the arrest of the ten alleged perpetrators, who are accused of crimes related to prostitution, belonging to a criminal group, and drug trafficking, in addition to the liberation of the 14 women who were being exploited.
