Sara Fornés Capdepon, born in 1996, is one of the young creators shaping the new Valencian culture, excelling as an artist, cultural mediator, and graphic designer in the city of València.

As part of Culturplaza's «Generation V» initiative, which aims to highlight emerging talents transforming the Valencian cultural landscape, the figure of Sara Fornés Capdepon has been featured. Born on December 14, 1996, Fornés defines herself as a cultural worker, encompassing roles as an artist, cultural mediator, and graphic designer.
Her interest in art and culture has always been present, while her foray into design was a result of curiosity and chance during her Fine Arts studies. Cultural mediation came years later, driven by her friend Elena Sanmartín. Currently, her creative work focuses on designing participatory devices with poetic intentionality, exploring the intersection between text, image, and action.

"At this moment, my creative work primarily consists of designing participatory devices with poetic intentionality. I am particularly interested in the intersections between text, image, and action."

When asked about the title her biography would have, Fornés suggests Girls just want to have fun. Regarding the future, she prefers surprises and avoids long-term plans, but envisions herself in ten years living in València or connected to the city, working in the cultural field, and collaborating creatively, hoping for less precarious working conditions.
Among her cultural recommendations, she highlights the album Departures, wonders & tears by Florence Sinclair, the film Taste of cherry by Abbas Kiarostami, and the book Agua viva by Clarice Lispector. Additionally, she proposes dedicating a street to the artist Perla Zúñiga and recommends following the collectives @elasticaas, @sindicato_circular, and @dlg.co on social media.

"Generation V is aware of what it contributes to the city despite the limited resources it has, and for this reason, also aware of the importance of collectivity and self-management."
