Artist Sandra Monfort filled the Teatre Principal de València with color this Saturday for the premiere of 'Terra de guapes', a performance that revalues Valencian popular culture and sold out its tickets.

The performance, held at the Teatre Principal de València, managed to sell all available tickets in less than an hour. 'Terra de guapes' is a sonic and visual journey through various musical genres of Valencian popular culture, performed by the multifaceted artist from Pedreguer.
Moments before the show, Monfort expressed her wish for the audience to leave with the feeling, "what a beautiful culture we have." The performance is divided into four acts that symbolically traverse essential traditions such as 'malaguenyes', 'cants de batre', the Muixeranga of Algemesí, the 'ball del vetlatori', and the Misteri d’Elx.

"I want to value them and let them spread like seeds in the wind. That they weren't afraid to sing them with joy, love, and sweetness, which is how they were made."

This proposal, defined by Monfort as her most personal, is based on archives from the Fonoteca de Materials de la Generalitat, which holds over 900 original pieces of popular culture. The artist redefines these traditions, feeling "privileged to be on this stage to express what the Valencian people are."
The singer asked for patience from those who couldn't get a ticket, assuring that there will be more opportunities to enjoy the project. "We can't give dates, but stay tuned," she stated.

"Let Valencian culture spread, it is beautiful and a jewel that we Valencians have."
