The Popular Party has registered six parliamentary initiatives in the Congress of Deputies to demand that the Ministry of Transport unblock the southern extension of the Serrería tunnel in València.

This infrastructure is considered strategic for connecting the Port of València, completing the Turia Garden, and urbanistically developing the city's maritime facade. The parliamentary offensive includes requests for documentation and written questions.
The objective is to clarify why the Government maintains a suspended informative study that is 76% complete and has already seen an investment of over 635,000 euros of public money. After four years, there is still no firm decision on its resumption or resolution.

"If the Government does not respond to the City Council or the Transparency Council, it will now have to do so before Congress."

The city council criticizes the Ministry for contradicting itself by denying technical reports it had previously leaked to the media. Therefore, the PP is now demanding a specific timeline for the study's approval and explanations regarding the alleged "obsolescence" of previous documents.
They warn that if no new reports exist to replace the old ones, the Government's argument lacks legal and technical basis. The situation is described as an "administrative fallacy" and "institutional waste".
