For the new model year, Porsche aims for a more intense connection between driver and vehicle across the entire Taycan range. Enhancements include the new E-Shift system with virtual gear changes and a more exciting Electric Sport Sound. For the top-tier Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package, an extensively modified Manthey Kit is now available directly from the factory. Technology also sees an upgrade with the new generation of the infotainment system, featuring a modern user interface, improved mobile phone integration, and AI-powered voice control.

The E-Shift option enhances the driving sensation with virtual gear changes, a reinterpreted Porsche Electric Sport Sound, and a virtual tachometer. The GT Sport steering wheel paddles allow selection between eight simulated gears, providing a multisensory experience.
Porsche is expanding its offerings with the Manthey Kit, now available for the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package. This kit, featuring aerodynamic, chassis, and engine optimizations, has set a new record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 6:55.533 minutes in the electric luxury car category. The kit can be ordered as an accessory or directly from the factory.
In terms of efficiency, the rear-wheel-drive Taycan models can now be equipped with optional summer tires featuring low rolling resistance. Combined with the Performance Plus battery, these allow for a WLTP range of up to 700 kilometers, making the Taycan more suitable for long-distance travel than ever before.
The new infotainment system improves the user experience with a modern design language, a 3D model of the customer's vehicle in its actual color, freely configurable widgets, and enhanced AI-driven voice control. Integration of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto has been expanded, and navigation offers precise online route calculation and an optimized charging planner. Over-the-air (OTA) updates and a smartphone tray with magnetic ring support and up to 25 watts of charging power are also included.
The optional E-Shift function stimulates touch, hearing, and sight. Virtual gear changes, combined with the Porsche Electric Sport Sound, deliver an authentic and dynamic sensation. Drivers can switch between 8 virtual gears using the GT Sport steering wheel paddles, with realistic simulated jolts and behavior comparable to the engine braking of a combustion engine vehicle. Interior and exterior sound varies based on power demand and wheel speed.
The E-Shift is available as an option for all powertrains and body styles, except for the Taycan Turbo GT, which features it as standard. Specific transmission and sound characteristics are adapted for each model, ensuring each Taycan has its own unique acoustic and driving dynamics profile. It is activated via an additional mode switch on the steering wheel.
The new optional summer tires for rear-wheel-drive models (Sport Sedan and Sport Turismo) increase range by up to 20 km. Combined with the Performance Plus battery, they achieve a WLTP range of up to 700 km. These 20-inch tires are optimal for both long journeys and urban environments.
