An athlete from Sagunto has achieved the runner-up title in the 2nd National Phase of Olympic shooting, revalidating his elite status and securing his participation in the 3rd National Phase.

The Olympic shooting athlete from Sagunto competed last weekend in the 2nd National Phase, held in Huesca. After previous unfavorable results due to equipment failures, where he could not score points in three of the fourteen exercises, he managed to recover with a remarkable performance.
With maximum aspirations and no material or ammunition problems, the shooter showed great consistency and "very good sensations" ahead of the Hungarian Championship, which will take place next June. In the twelve exercises at the Loreto Shooting Range, he was only penalized in two for time issues when repeating some shots.

"It was a very technical and complicated competition as it required hitting and knocking down moving targets and metal plates."

Despite the difficulty, his consistency allowed him to win the runner-up title in his category and a well-deserved tenth place in the general classification. Thanks to these good results, he will compete in the 3rd National Phase at the As Pontes Shooting Range, in Galician territory.
Furthermore, the athlete faces this upcoming phase with added motivation, as he has once again been considered an elite athlete for his achievements in 2025. He expressed gratitude for the support from the Department of Physical Activity, Health and Sports of Sagunto and various sponsoring companies.
