The National Police will increase its officer presence in Valencia during the summer period, specifically between July 1st and August 31st. This police reinforcement will focus on the Las Arenas, El Cabanyal, and Malvarrosa beaches, as well as other leisure, tourism, and entertainment spots. Surveillance will also be enhanced at train stations, Valencia Airport, the port, and the bus station.
The objective of this operation, named 'Summer 2026' and developed by the State Secretariat of Security, is to increase safety in areas with high tourist influx during the summer months. The operation was presented this Wednesday at the Paseo de Neptuno in Valencia, where some of the participating police units were exhibited.
The event was attended by the Regional Head of Operations, Vicente Martínez; the Provincial Head, Carlos Holgado; and the Government Subdelegate in Valencia, José Rodríguez Jurado.
As a new feature, and similar to the previous year, the National Police will operate a reporting office in the beach area. These facilities, shared with the Local Police, will be located on the promenade, at the intersection of José Ballester Gozalvo and Pintor Ferrandis streets. The hours will be from 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday to Sunday, to provide a faster response to both tourists and residents.
Various specialized units of the National Police will participate in the 'Summer 2026' operation, including the Provincial Brigade of Citizen Security with the Citizen Assistance Groups (GAC), the Operational Response Group (GOR), the Immediate Response Group to Crime (GRIC), the Prevention and Reaction Units (UPR), the Special Cavalry Unit, and the Special Canine Guide Unit. Judicial police groups, the Provincial Border and Immigration Brigade, the Police Intervention Unit (UIP), Intelligence, Air Support, and the Mobile Brigade will also be involved.
