Valencian author Nacho Golfe has made a spectacular start at the 61st edition of the Valencia Book Fair, signing over 600 copies in just three days at the Jardines de Viveros.

The phenomenon of Nacho Golfe, which was already anticipated in previous editions, has fully exploded this year. Of the total sales figure, more than 400 copies correspond to his most acclaimed work, Guardianes del Castillo, published by the Valencian imprint Ediciones Llum de Lluna. This title, which was already recognized in 2022 as one of the fair's best-selling books, has gone from being a sales success to becoming a true mass phenomenon among family audiences.

"Nacho Golfe's proposal not only stands out for its agile narrative and its ability to connect with the imagination of the little ones, but also for its firm commitment to offering books that, when read, involve the family, make us move and even play."

Guardianes del Castillo is an entirely Valencian project: from Golfe's authorship to the work of Ediciones Llum de Lluna, including the artistic work of its illustrators, also Valencian, whose visual style has been key to bringing this universe of adventures to life. Queues to get the author's signature have been constant since the opening of the stands, extending for hours and forcing extra efforts to attend to the hundreds of children who eagerly awaited to meet the creator of their favorite stories.
In addition to Guardianes del Castillo, Nacho Golfe has also signed copies of Capitán Zheimer and Agencia Dental Mágica, among other books published with editorials such as Bromera, Algar, or Sargantana. His top seller during this first weekend was the new copy of Guardianes del Castillo Selva Aventura, this being the first publication by Ediciones Llum de Lluna after losing all its editorial catalog due to the DANA of 2024.
What has been experienced this weekend in Viveros confirms Golfe's consolidation as a benchmark in contemporary children's literature. While in 2022 Guardianes del Castillo was already standing out in the Book Fair's rankings, the evolution in 2026 shows that the loyalty of his readers continues to increase. The author, known for his approachability and his connection to teaching, which gives him a special sensitivity to understand the interests of children, has not stopped signing a single copy, sharing smiles with each young reader.
This milestone not only represents a personal triumph for Golfe but also a definitive boost for independent Valencian publishing. The ability of Ediciones Llum de Lluna to position a local title above others underscores the excellent health of the publishing sector in the Valencian Community. The Valencia Book Fair continues next week, and the “Golfe effect” is expected to continue boosting participation figures in an edition that already promises to be historic.
