The Valencia concert is part of a series of nine performances the band will undertake in ten days, starting in Madrid and concluding in Alcalá de Henares on April 19. This tour serves to promote their album Beat Revolution, released in 2025 and produced by their guitarist Pedro Mires, with mixing handled by Jim Diamond.
Led by Evan Shore, known as "Muck," the band emerged in New England in the late nineties. Producer and manager Kim Fowley once described them as "the Beatles of 1964 meeting The Ramones," highlighting their fusion of the 60s British Invasion and Ramones-style punk.
“"The Beatles of 1964 meeting The Ramones."
Following their recording debut in 2001 with a collection of demos, Muck & The Mires gained popularity in 2004 by winning MTV's Battle Of The Bands competition, sponsored by 'Little Steven', producer, actor, and guitarist for Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band. Their subsequent works have featured production from prominent garage genre figures such as Kim Fowley himself and Jim Diamond, who is responsible for most of their recent recordings.
Their short-duration songs reflect influences from mersey-beat and high-energy punk. The current lineup accompanying Evan Shore on this Spanish tour includes Jessie Best on drums, Pedro Mire on guitar, and John Quincy Mire on bass. The band has announced that they will release two new 7-inch EPs during 2026.
