Metrovalencia service returned to normal this Thursday, April 16, following morning technical problems and a strike called by Semaf, as reported by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV).

FGV announced at midday that circulation on the Metrovalencia network is “practically already operating normally” after incidents that caused delays and interruptions during the morning. Furthermore, it confirmed that the 75 percent minimum services established for the strike called by the Semaf union are being respected.
Sources from FGV highlighted that “minimum services have been provided normally and without incidents” on both Metrovalencia and the Tram. They added that other unions are not supporting the mobilization.

It seems unfair to us that such high minimum services are imposed, which represent maximum rather than minimum services.

For its part, the Semaf union reported 100% participation in the mobilization and explained that 25% of trains have been affected by the strike and are not running. This percentage corresponds to the established minimum services.
