The Local Police of Valencia arrested a man on April 21 in the San Marcelino neighborhood, accused of attempting to assault with a knife and threatening several people with death in a public street.

The events occurred around 9:17 PM near Salvador Perles street, at the intersection with San Pío X street. According to initial reports received via Room 092, a man armed with a large knife was allegedly intimidating passersby and had attempted to stab a young person walking in the area with their partner.
Upon the arrival of the patrol, several witnesses pointed out the alleged assailant, who had bloody hands and was trying to leave the scene. The officers repeatedly ordered him to stop, and when he refused, he was finally subdued and arrested without any officers being injured.
During the intervention, officers located a knife approximately 27.5 centimeters long with a wooden handle and traces of blood, hidden under a parked vehicle a few meters from the arrest site. Additionally, a second knife, about six centimeters long with a green plastic handle, was seized during a superficial search of the detainee.
The victims told officers that the detainee had threatened them with death and had attempted to stab them in the abdominal area, although they managed to avoid the assault by dodging the attack. Both individuals were in an evident state of nervousness and stated they had feared for their lives.
The arrested individual was initially taken to a medical center and subsequently to police facilities, where he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities as the alleged perpetrator of attempted homicide.
