The event, organized by ASOVALCOM and the Comic Classroom of the Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Sports, and Social Connection of the University of Valencia, will remain free and feature renowned names such as Paco Roca, Miguel Calatayud, Daniel Torres, Jorge Fornés, Cristina Durán, Miguel Ángel Giner, Daniel Acuña, Víctor Santos, Max Vento, and Jaime Calderón.
The program will include talks, signing sessions, children's workshops, activities for all ages, and the traditional drawing battle, scheduled for Saturday afternoon under the direction of MacDiego. Additionally, attendees can visit over 70 stands from publishers, bookstores, self-publishers, and illustrators spread across the ground and first floors of the Centre Cultural La Nau's cloister.
The days will also coincide with exhibitions on Palestinian comics and a retrospective on the comic world of Miguel Calatayud. The poster for this edition was created by Cristina Durán and draws inspiration from various architectural and historical elements of the Centre Cultural La Nau, such as the University's treasury vault and the Cloister's columns, while also incorporating references to the comic universe, a tribute to Pumby, and a defense of artistic work against generative artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, the solidarity initiative ‘Dulces Sueños’ will take place during this event, collecting non-perishable food and hygiene products in exchange for comics, books, and video games. All proceeds will go to the Hogar Mare de Déu dels Desemparats run by Cáritas in Torrent.
