The Guild of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of Valencia, in collaboration with the Valencia City Council, is promoting the sixth annual 'Les Geperudetes' campaign for the festivity of the Virgin of the Forsaken.

This sweet, made with a pumpkin and almond base, traditional local confectionery ingredients, is characterized by its sponginess and round shape. Its distinctive feature is the silhouette of the Virgin of the Forsaken made with powdered sugar that decorates each piece.
The initiative seeks to highlight the figure of the Virgin of the Forsaken, so important to the city of Valencia, and to value the daily work of the guild's professionals. Furthermore, it invites residents and visitors to incorporate this sweet into their tables during the celebration.

"Les Geperudetes are born from artisanal work, attention to detail, and respect for quality and local ingredients. Behind each Geperudeta are hours of craftsmanship, knowledge passed down from generation to generation, and a way of working that does not rush. Supporting this sweet is also supporting those who keep Valencian artisanal baking and pastry alive."

The campaign includes exclusive packaging that differentiates the product and reinforces its identity, honoring the festivity. In the days leading up to the official celebration, many Valencian bakeries and pastry shops will offer 'Geperudetes', combining tradition and sentiment in this sixth edition.
