The results, published by Times Higher Education magazine, place the Valencian polytechnic as the most prominent among national technological universities. Furthermore, the institution remains within the top 200 most influential universities in the world regarding sustainability.
The methodology used for this classification evaluates the commitment of universities to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. To determine the global position, the score in the partnerships goal is analyzed combined with the three best results in other areas.
The UPV has achieved prominent positions in three specific areas: industry, innovation and infrastructure; decent work and economic growth; and quality education. Regarding decent work, the Valencian polytechnic holds the top spot at the national level.
This recognition adds to the university's track record in other international indicators, such as the Shanghai Ranking or the QS World University Rankings, which have endorsed the institution's teaching and research quality in recent years.
