The Catarroja judge investigating the DANA management has once again summoned the President of the Diputació de València, Vicent Mompó, as a witness, following statements made by the Mayor of Torrent, Amparo Folgado.

The magistrate made this decision following statements made on Monday by the Mayor of Torrent, Amparo Folgado. According to the mayor, at 6 PM on the day of the DANA, she called the President of the Diputació to inform him that the Horteta stream was overflowing and that the water had washed away the pedestrian walkway.
Furthermore, the judge has also summoned two employees of À Punt as witnesses. They were in Catarroja on the afternoon of October 29, 2024, and produced an informational piece, broadcast a year later, using material gathered that day. The magistrate has requested that phone calls related to the emergency received by the Mayor of Torrent be collected, after she gave permission for them to be obtained and included in the investigation.

"I have not lied, I don't know what interest I could have in lying, when I have always faced the situation. I believe I have not contributed anything new to my testimony from what I had already done."
