The new Director General of Culture has begun his tenure by visiting the València Book Fair, accompanied by the Autonomous Secretary, highlighting the event's growth and the importance of fostering reading in society.
The Director General of Culture made his first public appearance at the València Book Fair, attending alongside the Autonomous Secretary. Both emphasized the growing nature of the fair, which increasingly offers more proposals and attracts a larger number of visitors, consolidating itself as a meeting point for culture and books.

The Autonomous Secretary of Culture expressed her satisfaction at returning to a fair that maintains its public attendance and the support of public administrations. She stressed that the Book Fair continues to be a benchmark not only for the city but also nationally, demonstrating the growing interest in reading.

Both representatives agreed on the importance of continuing to promote reading from all areas: media, civil society, book sector professionals, booksellers, and public administrations. They highlighted that reading is a fundamental tool for connecting society and bringing it closer to art and culture, and reaffirmed the Generalitat's commitment to continue supporting the fair to foster the growth of the book industry.
During the visit, the Director General of Culture took the opportunity to purchase some books, including a science fiction title for his son. For her part, the Autonomous Secretary chose La Lonja de la Seda by Juan Francisco Ferrándiz, an edition of Alice in Wonderland, and several comics, showcasing the diversity of offerings at the event.
