The Valencia July Fair has unveiled its main novelties for the 2026 edition, one of the city's major summer events. This year, the celebration will extend its reach to 14 neighborhoods, offering around 300 activities over 26 days. The program will blend concerts, family shows, folklore, humor, children's activities, popular culture, fireworks, and tradition in various parts of the Valencian capital and its districts.
This year's edition revives the historic name Feria de Julio, by which this celebration, born in 1871, was popularly known. The fair will fill the city with cultural and festive proposals, culminating in the traditional Battle of Flowers on the Paseo de la Alameda.
The graphic design for this edition, created by Valencian artist Javier Valiente, draws inspiration from the expression «estar a la luna de Valencia» (to be out of touch/dreaming), making the moon the central element of a contemporary proposal that will accompany all fair communications.
The July Fair officially begins on July 1st with «OR, xata!», a musical-symphonic performance reviewing the fair's 155-year history, transforming the Plaza del Ayuntamiento into a large open-air stage. From then on, Valencia will host nearly 300 activities for all ages throughout the month. This year's program reaches the neighborhoods of Orriols, Sant Pau, Russafa, Cabanyal, Zaidía, Ayora, Quatre Carreres, Hort de Senabre, Santa María Micaela, and the area around the Mercado Central, as well as other emblematic spaces like the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Mercado de Colón, Plaza del Pilar, and Plaza del Tribunal de las Aguas. Districts such as El Saler, Benimàmet, Pinedo, Carpesa, and Castellar will also be part of the program.
One of the most anticipated events, La Gran Nit, will incorporate two new venues: Plaza del Pilar and the area around the Mercado Central, joining the usual stages like Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Plaza de la Virgen, Plaza de la Reina, Plaza Redonda, and Parc Central. This night will feature live music, magic, circus acts, children's entertainment, folklore, jazz, and musical tributes, with a notable performance by Serafín Zubiri in the Plaza de la Virgen.
Valencian music societies will gain prominence thanks to collaboration with the Coordinadora de Sociedades Musicales de Valencia (COSOMUVAL). Scheduled performances include a concert by the Sociedad Musical de Poblados Marítimos in Parc Central on July 12th and the participation of the Centro Instructivo Musical Castellar-Oliveral during La Gran Nit. Additionally, the Centre Cultural La Beneficència joins the July Fair program for the first time, hosting performances by Tia Visantica d’Albal, the Cor Cantors Divisi, the Centro Instructivo Musical de Tendetes, and the choir AAAcema.
Pyrotechnics will once again be a highlight, with shows on Saturdays throughout the month and on the opening day. The program will conclude on Sunday, July 26th, with the traditional Battle of Flowers on the Paseo de la Alameda.
Special attention has been paid to scheduling to balance activities with neighborhood rest. Children's and family-oriented events will primarily take place between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, while shows for the general public will usually start between 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM, lasting approximately an hour and a half. La Gran Nit will be the exception, extending until around 2:00 AM or 2:30 AM.
The organization is collaborating with the Dirección General de Discapacidad del Ayuntamiento de Valencia to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility, including reserved spaces, ground-level areas closer to stages, and support staff.
