This new musical work is a fusion of styles such as pop, folk, and "tranquil rock," through which Belda explores deep emotions like love, nostalgia, the importance of the land, home, and loved ones. The release will be accompanied by a presentation tour across various venues in Spain, with a stop in Valencia on November 20th at the 16 Toneladas venue.
After releasing advance singles like Enganchados (with Bely Basarte), Cuando quieras volver (with Luis Fercán), and Caminantes (a tribute to Dana), Juan Belda today presents his new album. La otra cara del color azul features 14 new songs recorded and produced at Estudios Arrecife in Valencia, a space created by the artist himself and shared with his brother, Cris Belda.
The new music video, La vida mejor, one of the album's key tracks, accompanies the release. The song blends pop and folk to emphasize the importance of the journey over the final destination.
Notable musicians have collaborated on the album, including Guille Salort (drummer for Conociendo Rusia), Rodrigo Hernández (drummer for Alizz and Hey Kid), Cris Belda (keyboardist for Auxili), Alfred Lorente (bassist for Revolver and Ciudad Jara), David Cases (saxophonist for Vincen García), Manu Pardo (trumpeter for Vincen García), Nicolas Btesh (mixer for El Zar and Conociendo Rusia), as well as Grammy winners Francisco Holzmann and Manuel Tomás, among others.
Juan Belda is known for a sound that evokes a full band, thanks to the collaboration of great musicians and powerful production. Although he belongs to a music scene centered in the capital, his songs demonstrate a deep affection for his homeland, Valencia.
Throughout his solo career, Belda has been a guitarist and backing vocalist on tours for prominent artists. Since 2019, he has toured with the Valencian group Ciudad Jara, led by Pablo Sánchez. Currently, he also collaborates with artist Hey Kid on his Nuevos Lugares tour, with Marwán in late 2024 and early 2025, and has worked on specific projects with artists like Álvaro de Luna and Barry B. Additionally, he has served as a composer for artists such as Ana Guerra, Alezz, and Omar Samba, and as a producer, participating in the latest album by Hombres G.
