Former Valencia CF goalkeeper Jaume Doménech returned to the field after his retirement in 2025, participating in a tribute match with the VCF Legends in Catadau.

The Valencia CF Footballers Association, through its Leyendas VCF team, organized a special match in Catadau. The game pitted former Valencianista footballers against representatives of UE Mancomunitat, serving as a tribute to Jaume Doménech, one of the most beloved figures in recent Valencianismo.
Doménech, who announced his retirement in September 2025, returned to defend the Valencia CF goal a year later. The goalkeeper, who played 65 minutes of the match, was recognized for his sporting and human career over a decade defending the club's colors (2015-2025).
Before the match, Jaume received a guard of honor and a message of gratitude for being an example. Emotional, he thanked them for the recognition, highlighting the fans' affection as his greatest pride. The match ended with a 2-5 victory for the VCF Legends.

"The greatest pride I have achieved throughout my entire career is the esteem and support of all the Valencianista fans and all Valencians. Therefore, it is a great honor to be able to [spend] this day with you."

Jaume Doménech is the eleventh goalkeeper with the most official appearances (122) in the club's history, notably his participation in the 2019 Copa del Rey. He has been a captain and a role model for young players in the VCF Academy.
