Chamber music will once again resonate this year in one of Valencia city's most unique historical buildings. Alquería Julià-Casa de la Música, a restored 17th-century Valencian farmhouse serving as the headquarters of the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community (FSMCV), will once again be the venue for the Chamber Music Cycle, now in its fourth edition following positive reception in previous years.
The initiative, promoted by the FSMCV, will bring together ensembles from musical societies across the Valencian Community between June 13 and December 26, 2026. A total of fourteen free concerts will allow the public to enjoy various chamber music formations in a setting rich in history and symbolism for the Valencian musical movement.
All concerts will take place on Saturdays at 12:00 PM in one of the spaces of Alquería Julià-Casa de la Música, with free admission until full capacity. The complete program includes performances by musical societies such as C.I.A.C. Vall d’Uixó, Societat Musical “La Primitiva” Setabense, Societat Musical Cultural d’Alcoleja, S.M. La Amistad de Villafranqueza, Societat Musical d’Alboraia, S.U.A.M. Ontinyent, Centro Instructivo Musical de Mislata, Unió Musical de Paiporta, A.A.M. “El Trabajo” de Xixona, Unión Artística Musical de Navajas, N.U.M. Virgen de Fátima de San Isidro, S.A.M. Picassent, U.M. “Amor al Arte” de Benlloch, and S.U.M. de Petrer.
In addition to offering a stable program throughout much of the year, the cycle aims to highlight the work of Valencian musical societies in chamber music, a discipline that complements the usual activities of bands and allows musicians to develop specific repertoires in smaller formats.
The proposal also contributes to the cultural revitalization of Alquería Julià-Casa de la Música, considered one of Valencia's significant recent heritage recoveries. The building, a 17th-century architectural gem restored thanks to CaixaBank, has become a reference point for the FSMCV's cultural, educational, and institutional activities and a meeting place for the Valencian musical community.
