This agreement will benefit over a hundred municipalities, especially those with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants. The main objective is to modernize and construct new wastewater treatment, purification, and reuse systems.
According to the agreement, Epsar will undertake an investment of up to 44.97 million euros, while the Diputación de Valencia will contribute a maximum of 6.52 million. The total investment of 51.49 million will be distributed over four annual payments, with 5.61 million in 2026, 22.25 million in 2027, 16.71 million in 2028, and 6.91 million in 2029.

The plan includes various actions across all Valencian regions, such as the renovation and construction of treatment plants and sanitation networks, the replacement of obsolete equipment to improve energy efficiency, the implementation of control and monitoring systems, and the modernization of facilities to promote the reuse of treated water.
Among the highlighted investments is the construction of a new sanitation system in Requena, with an investment of 5.4 million euros in the Plana d'Utiel-Requena. In the Vall d'Albaida, over 9.6 million euros will be allocated to improve infrastructure in municipalities like Albaida. The Ribera Alta will concentrate one of the highest investments, with over 15.5 million euros designated for new facilities in Gavarda, Montserrat, and Montroi, in addition to improvements in other localities. In La Safor, over 4.7 million will be used to build facilities in Simat de la Valldigna and Almiserà-Llocnou de Sant Jeroni.
More than 7.6 million euros are also planned for La Serranía, with new sanitation systems in Alpuente and Andilla. In La Foia de Bunyol, over 2.6 million will be allocated to comprehensively reform the Godelleta WWTP and renovate the treatment plants in Siete Aguas and Cheste.

The head of the Consell emphasized the importance of "useful politics" based on dialogue and collaboration among administrations to improve citizens' quality of life. Furthermore, he noted that the Generalitat has signed similar agreements with the provincial councils of Alicante and Castellón, with planned investments of 15.53 million and over twenty million euros, respectively.
