The Inèdits project by the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC) presents the dramatized reading of Salomé at the Teatre Rialto in València, an initiative to continue texts that have received grants for scenic writing.

The readings of Jerónimo Cornelles' text, based on an original idea by Carlos Córdoba, are taking place this Tuesday and Wednesday in room 7 of the Rialto building. Salomé is part of a project aimed at giving continuity to texts that have received grants for scenic writing from the IVC, thereby fostering the participation of Valencian authors, directors, and performers in projects linked to this institution.
The readings are directed by Amparo Vayá and performed by Pilar Fontán, Laura Useleti, Rafa Alarcón, Tomàs Verdú, and David Alarcón, as detailed by Cultura de la Generalitat.
Tickets for the two scheduled sessions of Salomé are sold out. The next Inèdits proposals include Yo rime el convite conmigo by Xavo Giménez, directed by Álida Molina, on June 16 and 17. Subsequently, from October 13 to 28, the third reading, Terrores desproporcionados by Andrea Martínez, will be performed, directed by Tanya Beyeler and Pablo Gisbert.
The three texts were selected by an independent commission comprising Tiago Barrachina, representing the Associació Valenciana d'Escriptores i Escriptors Teatrals (AVEET); Juan Luis Mira, from the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE); and Mª José Mora, representing the IVC.

"Initiatives supporting dramaturgy are key to boosting Valencian scenic creation, fostering theatrical authorship, and creating spaces where playwrights can develop their projects. Dramatized readings also allow for the scenic exploration of texts and promote collaboration among Valencian performing arts professionals."

Inèdits was launched in the 2024-2025 season as a commitment to foster Valencian authorship and promote its staging through rehearsals, dramatized readings, and scenic productions. This provides essential support for authors and for the work of directors, actors, and artistic teams participating in these initiatives.
