The fire broke out shortly before 4:00 PM in the cumbres Calicanto area. To extinguish it, seven aerial units, four forest firefighter units with water tenders, and two crews from the Provincial Consortium of Valencia Firefighters were mobilized.
The Coordination Center for Emergencies of the Generalitat (CCE) has activated situation 1 of the PEIF. This situation is established when a forest fire may seriously affect forest assets or lightly affect the population and non-forest assets, potentially requiring extraordinary resources.
The fire was stabilized around 5:30 PM, at which point the aerial units were withdrawn, according to information from the Firefighters Consortium.
In parallel, another vegetation fire has been declared in Casinos, where one aerial unit, one forest firefighter unit, and two crews from the Valencia Firefighters Consortium have been deployed.
