The Valencian Community has experienced high hotel occupancy during the May holiday, with Valencia and Benidorm exceeding 90%, according to data from the Hosbec hotel association.

The tourism employers' association Hosbec has announced an estimated hotel occupancy of 88.8% for the Valencian Community during the May holiday. Reservations indicate that Valencia is the most sought-after destination, nearing full capacity with 94.5% occupancy.
This “pull effect” extends to the entire province of Valencia, which is also approaching 93% of reservations. Benidorm stands out as another highly requested location, with a 90% forecast. The rest of the Costa Blanca, especially in southern Alicante, also shows good figures with over 86%.
The province of Castellón joins this positive trend, with 83.5% occupancy. Towns like Peñíscola expect 82%. The Valencian hotel association has emphasized that, while these figures are very good, the sector is monitoring weather forecasts to confirm these predictions.

"The May 1st holiday period signals a time of good occupancy in the hotel sector of the Valencian Community. The fact that a public holiday falls on a Friday greatly favors travel and tourist activity."

Hosbec highlighted that May 1st is a public holiday in most European countries, which facilitates “short breaks” and marks the beginning of the summer season for key tourist-sending markets.
