The concert, scheduled for 6:00 PM, will feature one of Dmitri Shostakovich's most impactful works: Symphony No. 7 in C major, Op. 60, 'Leningrad'. This performance was originally scheduled for December 12 last year but was postponed due to conditions affecting international air travel linked to Venezuela.

In his fifth appearance at the Valencian auditorium, the Venezuelan maestro will conduct the imposing Symphony No. 7 'Leningrad', a score conceived in 1941 in the midst of the besieged city, as an artistic response to the almost 900-day siege suffered by Leningrad during World War II, which cost the lives of a million residents. The work, completed in Kuibyshev, premiered on March 5, 1942.
The conductor has stated on several occasions his commitment to creating a better world through music. His career is guided by a deep conviction in the power of art to inspire and transform lives, working tirelessly to extend education and access to underserved communities around the world.
Currently, Dudamel serves as music and artistic director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, and will assume the role of music and artistic director of the New York Philharmonic for the 2026/2027 season, continuing a legacy that includes figures such as Gustav Mahler and Leonard Bernstein.
The National Youth Orchestra of Venezuela is a touring ensemble composed of young people aged 14 to 19, with a continuously renewing structure. Conceived by maestro José Antonio Abreu as a musical showcase for the collective work of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela, its first generation debuted on April 30, 1975.
