Wedding bells are ringing in the PSPV. The former President of the Generalitat and the former Minister of Justice will marry after the summer. The union formalizes a years-long relationship between two of the most influential figures of the PSPV-PSOE over the last decade.
The couple will marry on September 12, and the ceremony will mark second nuptials for both. The former President was romantically linked for decades to a journalist, with whom he has two children. For her part, the former Minister was married to a lawyer, father of her three children.
The couple's trajectory has been closely linked to Valencian politics. The former Minister was a fundamental piece in the successive Botànic governments presided over by the former President. After the political cycle change in 2023, she held the second vice-presidency of Les Corts before resigning from active politics to rejoin her fiscal career.
For his part, the former President, after stepping aside from the PSPV General Secretariat, currently resides in Paris, where he serves as Permanent Delegate Ambassador of Spain to the OECD, a position he has held since February 2024 after his departure from the front line of regional politics.
