The defense of the former Generalitat president has filed an appeal against a judge's decision in Catarroja not to forward key documents to the Audiencia de València as part of the cold drop investigation.

This appeal, submitted on April 20, 2026, challenges the judge's refusal to send certain documentation, arguing that the former president does not have access to the case proceedings.
However, the defense considers there is a contradiction in the judicial decision, as an appeal against the refusal of his involvement in the case was previously admitted.

"Admitting the appeal, but preventing the incorporation of documents, violates the right to defense and creates helplessness, because it limits the material that the court can examine."

Furthermore, the defense describes the decision as formalistic and disproportionate, and insists that there is no legal impediment to accepting the designation of the documents, which it considers necessary to guarantee effective judicial protection in the process.
