In addition to the increase in turnover, the group's consolidated profit also maintained an upward trend, reaching 7.03 million euros. This figure slightly surpasses the 6.95 million recorded in the previous year, demonstrating the company's financial robustness.
The Fontestad group operates through various international subsidiaries, with a notable presence in European markets such as France. Its average workforce has grown to 1,512 employees, up from 1,414 in the previous year, underscoring its expansion. Its main clients include large national and international supermarkets and food retailers, with whom it establishes contracts at the beginning of each campaign to define volumes, prices, and conditions.
The corporation comprises Fontestad Citrus, responsible for production and distribution in Spain; Fontestad France, which manages distribution in the European Union and handles occasional exports; and Fontestad Energy, dedicated to the operation of photovoltaic installations and the commercialization of electrical energy.
Founded in 1984 by Vicente Fontestad Planells, the firm has experienced continuous growth, expanding its facilities to 50,000 square meters. Currently, the group manages an annual production of approximately 160 million kilograms of citrus, 40% of which comes from its own controlled production, spread across some 900 hectares in the Comunitat Valenciana, Andalusia, and Murcia.
