The Councillor for Fallas has announced that mojito stands will not be authorized for Fallas 2027 due to coexistence issues, and the suspended mascletà will be held at night on May 2.

The Councillor for Fallas and president of the Junta Central Fallera (JCF), has announced that next year, mojito sales stands will not be authorized. This decision is made because

"they go against coexistence, due to all the problems they generate and which affect the image of the Fallas and the Fallas commissions."

This was announced on Tuesday at the Assembly of Presidents. The councillor thanked the commissions and the volunteer staff of the JCF for their collaboration in organizing the events.
Furthermore, it has been reported that the mascletà suspended in March due to adverse weather conditions

"will be transformed into a nocturnal mascletà on May 2 at 9 PM to mark Mother's Day."

The Junta Central Fallera is working to improve the Fallas events, with a special focus on the Ninot collections on March 14 and 15, as well as the Ofrenda. In the latter, in 2026, 25,757 children, 88,518 adults, and 9,303 musicians participated, totaling 123,578 people. The head of the JCF has publicly thanked the Police, Firefighters, Civil Protection, the Municipal Band, the Civil Guard, and the Fallas Service for their collaboration.
Regarding municipal subsidies, the deadline for justifying the remaining subsidy opened on March 20 and runs until May 5. The councillor has urged all commissions to submit their justifications within the deadline to expedite the payment process. He also explained that next November marks the tenth anniversary of the declaration of Fallas as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, and a monitoring commission will soon be convened to prepare commemorative events.
The councillor expressed satisfaction with the improvement of pyrotechnic displays in the City Council and the publicity of each commission's shows. The Fallas Bando working group will meet again in July, and for 2027, the assembly of tents will generally begin on March 11. During the questions and requests session, several commissions asked to review delays in prize collection and the Ofrenda. Regarding musical entertainment, it was announced that orchestras will be permitted on March 13, 15, 16, 17, and 18, 2027.
Due to the massive attendance at the Crida, some presidents requested more video screens and sound improvements. The Councillor for Fallas stated that the Crida is

"an event open to the world and that is its idiosyncrasy, so its participation cannot be restricted to the general public."
