The Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV) and the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) will open their doors this Saturday, May 9, for the 18th edition of Expociencia, offering over a hundred activities.

The event, which will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM, will bring together more than 80 entities under the motto 'Caring with science: understanding each other to live better'. The main objective is to show how innovation and science contribute to improving well-being and sustainability in society.
Families, especially children, will be able to enjoy a diverse itinerary that includes fields such as biomedicine, biotechnology, chemistry, and digital technology. Among the highlighted activities is an augmented reality scavenger hunt, promoted by the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC), which will allow attendees to interact with virtual microorganisms using their mobile phones, learning about food safety and sustainability in a playful way.
Additionally, visitors can discover how large particle accelerators work and explore the potential of robotics and artificial intelligence. Sessions with sign language and audio description have been scheduled to ensure an inclusive and accessible experience for all attendees.
With the participation of nearly 500 researchers, Expociencia consolidates itself as a benchmark event in scientific dissemination, offering a unique opportunity to bring science closer to the citizens of Valencia.
