Valencia Basket has secured its place in the semifinals of the Women's Endesa League play-offs, after defeating Ensino Lugo in the second leg of the quarterfinals at Roig Arena.

The 'taronja' team struggled more than expected to once again defeat Ensino Lugo by 73-70. Despite holding a thirteen-point lead from the first leg, the Galician players made things difficult, especially during the first half of the match.
The players coached by Rubén Burgos started the game overconfident, which the visitors capitalized on to take an early lead. The greater intensity of the Galician team silenced the 'taronja' fans, with an 8-20 run by the end of the first quarter. The lead continued to grow in the second period, with Ensino even taking the lead in the tie at 12-26. However, Valencia Basket's reaction allowed them to reach halftime with the score at 32-38.
After the break, the Galician players, with a less rotated squad, began to show signs of fatigue. The 'taronja' team started to find the basket more easily and gradually reduced the deficit. A 7-0 run, capped by Queralt Casas, put Rubén Burgos's team ahead for the first time in the game (49-48). Despite this, Ensino reacted to end the third quarter with a two-point lead (53-55). In the final period, Valencia Basket, with a deeper bench, gave no chance to the Galician team, who fell with their heads held high.
Now, the 'taronja' team will face Uni Girona in the semifinals. The first leg will be played at Roig Arena, while the tie will be decided in Fontajau in the second and final match.
