This new petition is part of an investigation into alleged harassment against two former members of the far-right party Se Acabó la Fiesta. The MEP currently has five open cases in the court, and in three of them, the investigating judge has already sent the waiver request to the European chamber to proceed against him.
Weeks ago, the European Parliament already decided to waive his immunity regarding one of these cases, related to alleged harassment of the delegated prosecutor against hate crimes in València, Susana Gisbert.
“"It is necessary to urge the granting of the waiver that determines the suspension of his immunity to be able to act judicially for alleged crimes of harassment and disclosure of secrets."
In this current case, the MEP is being investigated for the content of a podcast in which he encouraged his followers to pursue and harass two of his fellow MEPs, whom he accused of having been bribed in a vote in the European Parliament on European rearmament.
