The liquidation of the Valencia Employment Foundation, ordered by Vox last summer, has resulted in a provisional cost of over 100,000 euros in just seven months. Lawyer Luis Ignacio Sierra Mallol, appointed as liquidator, has managed the necessary procedures for the entity's extinction.
Sierra Mallol, who had been providing legal services to the foundation since 2019, continued his work when Vox took over Employment responsibilities. His appointment was approved by the municipal Board of Trustees, chaired by Employment Councilor José Gosálbez, with the authority to carry out all necessary liquidation procedures.
The decision to close the foundation came months after the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Guardia Civil began investigating contracts made during the tenure of Juan Manuel Badenas, former Vox spokesperson and ex-Employment councilor. The Municipal General Intervention of Valencia has also detected irregularities within the foundation, questioning minor contracts and remuneration.
The liquidator has submitted invoices totaling over 100,000 euros for the period from October to April. According to City Council sources, his remuneration has been equated to that of the entity's manager, applying the capital company law. In addition to his fees, other expenses such as account closures and notary services have been presented, pending verification by the City Council.
The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana officially announced the foundation's dissolution on April 8th, but it was only at this Thursday's Board of Trustees meeting that its definitive cessation was formally reported.
