This year, International Museum Day, celebrated on May 18, and the 22nd European Museum Night, on May 23, reinforce the role of museums as spaces that foster respect and coexistence. The González Martí Museum has prepared a series of activities on May 16, 17, and 19, with free admission on Saturday, May 16 from 4 PM to midnight and all day on Sunday, May 17.
The program includes music recitals on Saturday, May 16, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, in various museum halls. This activity, co-organized with the Professional Music Conservatory of Valencia, will fill the museum with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Jan Ladislav Dussek, among other composers, in spaces such as the ballroom and the coffered ceiling room.
On the same Saturday, May 16, at 8 PM and 9:30 PM, theatrical night tours will be offered. Aimed at children aged 3 and up (accompanied by adults), these tours will allow them to discover the museum with Doña Carmen Puigmoltó y Mayans Pérez y Enríquez de Navarra, wife of the VII Marquis of Dos Aguas, and her butler Ponciano. Visitors will take a journey into the past to learn about the palace before the inauguration ball on May 17, 1867.
Finally, on Sunday, May 17 at 12 PM, the museum will organize a ceramic workshop for all audiences (aged 7 and up). Under the guidance of artist Ruslan Melenco, participants will create a Dove of Peace, reflecting on this universal symbol. The workshop, which will be conducted in a bilingual Spanish-Ukrainian format, will explore basic ceramic techniques and artistic expression, fostering an inclusive space for encounter and intercultural learning.
