The Serenates Festival in Valencia is heading towards its conclusion with four musical and scenic events celebrating artistic diversity and the connection between tradition and contemporaneity.

The Serenates Festival is in its final phase, presenting a selection of proposals that include band music, female voices, mixed jazz, and a baroque production. According to the organization's statement, these final days highlight "the artistic plurality that has characterized this 39th edition" of the event.
From June 29th to July 2nd, the cloister of the Centre Cultural La Nau in València will host four performances. The program ranges from band music, female choral creation, mixed jazz and Latin American music sounds, to a scenic production combining baroque music and dance. The organization emphasizes the festival's "capacity to connect tradition and contemporaneity through diverse artistic languages".
On Monday, June 29th, the Banda Simfònica Unió Musical l'Horta de Sant Marcel·lí will perform Ecos de l'horta i la metròpoli: paisatges, festa i tradició (Echoes of the Orchard and the Metropolis: Landscapes, Festivity, and Tradition), in collaboration with the Certamen Internacional de Bandas Ciudad de València (CIBM). The concert offers a musical journey through Valencian identity with works by Manuel Morales, Rafael Talens, Manuel Palau, Merche Femenía, and Franco Cesarini, exploring the dialogue between the orchard's tradition and contemporary urban dynamism.
On Tuesday, June 30th, the Cor de Dones A cau d'orella (Women's Choir A cau d'orella) will celebrate its twentieth anniversary with the show Dona i veu: 20 anys cantant (Woman and Voice: 20 Years Singing). Accompanied by the Quintet Casulana, the ensemble will present a repertoire created and performed by women, asserting their role in music history and promoting female creation. The choir has dedicated two decades to an "intense effort in disseminating and promoting" this repertoire.
On July 1st, Tonina will perform. She is an American singer, composer, and double bassist recognized for integrating influences from jazz, soul, Latin American music, and singer-songwriter genres. Her music is characterized by "rhythmic richness, melodic sensitivity, and great communicative ability," bringing an "international perspective" to the edition.
The festival will conclude on Thursday, July 2nd, with Passió barroca (Baroque Passion), a production by Harmonia del Parnàs directed by Marian Rosa Montagut. The performance blends historical music by Georg Friedrich Händel and Antonio Vivaldi with contemporary dance and tango, exploring human passions. It is described as an "artistic experience of great interpretive and visual demand".
All concerts will take place in the cloister of the Centre Cultural La Nau at 10:00 PM. Tickets are priced at a general fee of 5 euros and can be purchased through the La Tenda website.
