The Festival de les Arts will take place at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia with modified schedules and new acoustic measures to comply with regulations.

The Festival de les Arts is holding its ground at the City of Arts and Sciences (Cacsa) following a court ruling that sided with local residents regarding noise levels. The new edition will take place this weekend, after other major festivals have been relocated to venues such as the Ciutat de València stadium or Parc Central de Torrent. This edition, marked by uncertainty, has clarified some of its main unknowns just four days before its opening.
One of the most notable changes is the modification of the schedule, which will advance the closing time to 1 AM, contrasting with the previous 2 AM closing. The musical program will begin at 6 PM. "We believe that music, culture, and the city can continue to grow together," they stated in a press release shared on their social media, where they describe the festival as an event "designed to coexist with the city".
Furthermore, after weeks of waiting and complaints from thousands of ticket holders, the festival has finally released the performance schedules. These will kick off at 6 PM on both Friday and Saturday with concerts by Karavana and Julieta. The headliners, such as Siloé and Two Door Cinema Club, are scheduled to perform between 11:40 PM and 1 AM.
The festival asserts its commitment to integrating "new technologies and innovative solutions" to experience the event "in harmony with its surroundings," understanding the latter to include the residents who filed complaints. Consequently, new acoustic barriers, a revised sound distribution, and the reorientation of the stages will be implemented. Additionally, "real-time acoustic monitoring, continuous tracking, and ongoing technical supervision" will be put in place.
"The new sound distribution will allow for a more uniform and balanced listening experience within the venue, reaching all areas of the festival more effectively," they explain. This announcement comes just days after the corrective measures proposed by the Festival de les Arts of Valencia regarding noise pollution were made public. These measures include emitting below the current acoustic regulations, using sound limiters – one for each stage – and implementing time-based discrimination to set different emission levels for daytime and nighttime.
