The organization of the Festival de Les Arts has confirmed that the eleventh edition of the event will be held at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. In addition to the schedules, changes to the venue have been announced following a ruling in favor of residents regarding noise complaints.
This year, the musical program will conclude at 01:00 AM, earlier than in previous years. The festival promises "real-time acoustic monitoring, continuous tracking, and ongoing technical supervision" throughout its duration.
The Valencia City Council reported that the volume of nighttime concerts will be reduced to eighty decibels, ten less than the municipal limit of 90 dB. This measure, along with the installation of acoustic screens, aims to comply with regulations and minimize disturbances to the neighborhood.
The consortium has detailed that noise levels of 85 decibels are established for daytime hours at various distances from the stages, and 80 decibels for nighttime hours. The promoter, House of Music Festival, will install acoustic limiters to ensure compliance.
Despite the new measures, organizers assure that the festival experience "remains intact" and that "new measures and technical solutions" have been incorporated to improve coexistence and integration with the environment. "New acoustic barriers, double shielding on the main stage, new sound distribution, and stage reorientation" are planned.
The venue will open its doors "progressively during the afternoon" starting at 4:00 PM to better distribute access. The programming will begin at 6:00 PM with the Mediolanum stage.
Headliners Siloé and Two Door Cinema Club will perform on Friday and Saturday respectively, between 11:40 PM and 01:00 AM on the El Águila stage.
