National Police agents have arrested three men, aged between 29 and 39, following a violent altercation in a bar in Valencia. According to Jefatura sources, one of the individuals fired a rifle at the other two, who subsequently restrained and beat him.
The three detainees, who share a flat, had an argument on Friday night. During the brawl, one of them allegedly fired a bolt-action rifle with a telescopic sight, stolen earlier this year in a town in Toledo. The other two men, who were not hit by the shot, managed to subdue and assault the shooter.
Officers from the National Police, along with the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police and Scientific Police, attended the scene, a bar located on Vicario José Ramón street in Valencia. Upon arrival, they found the alleged shooter, 37 years old, immobilized on the floor, with a bloody face, under the custody of the other two men.
The man who fired the shot was arrested for attempted homicide and illegal possession of weapons. The other two face charges for assault. During the operation, 14 rounds of the same caliber were seized.
As a result of the shot, a projectile hit a large window of the bar, causing the glass to shatter and injure a woman in the leg. Medical services also attended the scene to treat the injured woman.
