Catarroja Port hosts a working breakfast this Tuesday focused on water purification and quality as key elements for ensuring sustainability in natural environments. The meeting, which will take place between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM at the Comunitat de Pescadors de Catarroja, will bring together institutional representatives, scientific experts, and water management officials.
The panel will include Lorena Sirvent, mayor of Catarroja; Laura Gascón, territorial manager of Veolia; María Flor, Head of Purification at Veolia Comunitat Valenciana; Javier Armengol, professor at the University of Valencia, Department of Microbiology and Ecology; Ignacio García, from the Department of Projects, Works, and Operations of the Public Entity for Wastewater Treatment (Epsar), as well as a representative from the Conselleria d'Agricultura, Aigua, Ramaderia i Pesca. The debate will be moderated by Javier Alfonso, director of Valencia Plaza.
During the meeting, issues related to water quality, purification systems, the protection of natural spaces, and the challenges posed by sustainable water resource management will be addressed in a context marked by pressure on ecosystems and the need to strengthen environmental resilience.
