A burst pipe on Friday forced the evacuation of the oncology consultations at Valencia Clinical Hospital, located on the eighth floor of the hospital's maternity building.

The incident originated around 1:00 PM in a pipe on the ninth-floor machinery level. The water affected the floor below, where the oncology consultations are housed. Consequently, all activity was immediately suspended.
Patients and their companions who were in consultation or waiting rooms were evacuated using a different elevator from an unaffected area.
The water was cleared after 3:00 PM. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed to ensure repairs are completed in the coming hours, according to sources from the Ministry of Health.
