The singer reappeared on stage after being attended to by paramedics and finished the concert, but has announced on his social media that he will need emergency surgery this Sunday.
“"It turns out I have a ligament rupture in my shoulder. I'm going to have to undergo emergency surgery. We don't know what the recovery will be like. I wanted to make this video to tell you that I'm fine and that it could have been worse."
The performance at the Roig Arena was part of his La Insurrección tour, with nearly two dozen concerts remaining, which the artist's medical situation now leaves in doubt. Affected cities include Pamplona, A Coruña, Avilés, and Mexico City.
After his time in America, the tour was scheduled to return to Spain with an intense summer agenda, including stops in Murcia, Granada, and Sevilla, as part of the Icónica Sevilla Fest. The tour will continue through Fuengirola, Santander, Pontevedra, and Albacete.
The final leg of the tour will have one of its highlights in Madrid, where the singer has sold out multiple consecutive dates at the Movistar Arena. In addition to his main tour, Dani Fernández will also participate in several festivals such as Mallorca Live, Granca Live Fest, Bilbao BBK Live, Pirineos Sur, Low Festival in Torrevieja, and the Concert Music Festival de Chiclana.
After the event, the performer informed his followers about his condition via social media. He was taken to a hospital in València, where tests confirmed a rupture of the ligaments in his right shoulder. Emergency surgery is scheduled for this Sunday, and the medical team has not yet determined the recovery timeline.
“"I hope we see each other as soon as possible. I want to be back as soon as I can, but don't worry, we'll keep you informed."
The concert by singer Dani Fernández, held this Saturday at the Roig Arena from 8:30 PM, had to be suspended for over 25 minutes due to a fall the artist suffered during his performance. The incident occurred around 9:45 PM when he fell from the edge of the stage while singing the song Plan Fatal.
