The Ponle Freno Race is taking place this Sunday in Valencia, causing traffic closures and parking restrictions in key areas like Camins al Grau and L’Albereda.

The city of Valencia is preparing for the Ponle Freno Race, scheduled for this Sunday, June 21st, between 8:30 AM and 9:45 AM. The event, organized by Atresmedia and the AXA Foundation in collaboration with the Municipal Sports Foundation, features both 5K and 10K categories.
The race route will affect several streets, including Paseo de L’Albereda, Plaza de Europa, Avenida de Francia, Calle del Pintor Maella, Pare Tomàs de Montañana, and Pont de Montolivet. The 10K route will also pass through the Turia Gardens.
Setup for the start and finish lines at Paseo de L’Albereda will begin on Saturday at 3:00 PM, potentially causing partial road closures. Traffic restrictions heading towards the city center will start Saturday at 10:00 PM, while restrictions heading towards the sea will commence Sunday at 7:30 AM.
Parking restrictions will be in effect from Saturday at 2:00 PM until Sunday at 2:00 PM. Parking is prohibited on L’Albereda towards the city center between Plaza de las Falleres Majors and Plaza de Europa, and in the opposite direction from Saturday at 11:00 PM.
EMT Valencia has planned diversions for bus lines 19, 35, 40, and 94. The new routes can be found on the EMT website and its mobile application.
