The event was attended by members of the municipal corporation, the Plenary and Executive Committee of Chamber of Commerce Valencia, as well as representatives of the consular corps and members of the College of Commercial Agents. Among the recognized companies are Abanicos Vibenca, Aparisi Cepillos, Buñolería El Contraste, Campoy, Casa La Curra, Cooperativa Elèctrica de Meliana, Cooperativa Elèctrica de Vinalesa, Drogueria El Barco, El Niño Llorón, Fluido Eléctrico Museros, L'Anec Papers, Relojería Elena Catalán, and Sellos Alepuz.
The ceremony included speeches by the Councilor for Urbanism and Housing, Juan Giner; the Director General of Commerce, Craftsmanship, and Consumption of the Generalitat, Maribel Sáez; and the president of Chamber of Commerce Valencia, José Vicente Morata. Morata highlighted "the role that historic companies and businesses play as generators of wealth, employment, and economic stability".
Additionally, a special recognition was awarded to the Official College of Commercial Agents of Valencia, received by its president Carlos Requena, for "its contribution to the Valencian business fabric and for its work in representing and supporting commercial activity".
The president of Chamber of Commerce Valencia praised the "capacity for adaptation" of the centenary companies, stating that "they teach us that innovating also means evolving without losing essence". According to Morata, these companies "represent a long-term approach to business and are an example of effort, commitment, and future vision for new business generations".
