CaixaBank has made a donation of 249,504 euros to Save the Children, earmarked for projects supporting families and child welfare in areas affected by the DANA storm, thanks to the participation of its shareholders in the Ordinary General Meeting held in Valencia on March 27.

This significant financial contribution was made possible by the involvement of 83,168 CaixaBank shareholders. The banking entity allocated 3 euros for each shareholder who participated in the General Shareholders' Meeting, either by voting or delegating their vote through the various channels provided for the occasion.
The Save the Children project, the beneficiary of this donation, is based on two priority lines of action. Firstly, it focuses on family support, accompanying those whose vulnerability has become chronic following the emergency. The objective is to help them stabilize their employment and socioeconomic situation, strengthening their resources, promoting their autonomy, and contributing to the recovery of income and living conditions.
Secondly, the project places special emphasis on child welfare, ensuring the coverage of basic needs for boys and girls, with particular attention to their physical and psycho-emotional well-being. This includes educational support, access to essential materials, creation of safe spaces, emotional accompaniment, and programs designed to protect the comprehensive development of minors affected by the DANA.
The collaboration between CaixaBank and Save the Children will help mitigate the prolonged effects that the DANA has left on thousands of families, especially those with dependent minors. This initiative strengthens the well-being of these communities and their ability to rebuild their lives in a particularly challenging context.
With this action, CaixaBank reaffirms its commitment to solidarity and social impact, staying close to people and supporting communities in vulnerable situations, in line with its corporate social responsibility policy.
