New audios have come to light, revealing that José Marí Olano, Councillor for Major Projects of the València City Council and a trusted associate of Mayor María José Catalá, offered positions in the municipal housing company Aumsa.

The recordings, accessed by elDiario.es, show Marí Olano in a meeting in spring 2024 with workers from the Consorcio Valencia 2007. In these, the councillor details the situation of various positions in entities dependent on the city council, including the Municipal Sports Foundation and Visit València, and mentions two legal profile positions in Aumsa that “90% are going to come out”.
The information has been forwarded to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office by Compromís and the PSPV, expanding a previous complaint against the City Council and the Port Authority for the publication and awarding of positions. The initial complaint pointed to the Visit València Foundation and the Municipal Sports Foundation, as well as the València Port Authority, where two former Consorcio workers obtained positions.

"As for Aumsa, I can tell you 90% that they will come out. And they will come out soon. They are two legal profile positions."

Despite Marí Olano's assertions, municipal sources confirm that the positions at Aumsa were never advertised. The councillor, who also advises Catalá on the Port's Board of Directors and has been the Contracting delegate since April 2025, expressed his “desperation” with Aumsa's management over delays in publishing these vacancies.
Following the publication of the conversations, Compromís and the PSPV have expanded their complaint, calling it a “clientelism operation” and suggesting possible crimes of prohibited negotiations for public officials. Compromís spokesperson, Papi Robles, indicated that “only the internal objections of the public company [Aumsa] prevented it.” For his part, PSPV spokesperson, Borja Sanjuan, has called for an investigation into the councillor for possible disclosure of secrets and use of privileged information.
Mayor María José Catalá defended that Marí Olano's words were no different from those raised by the opposition to prevent workers from losing their jobs. Catalá has announced that she will commission a report from the Municipal Secretariat to analyze the selection process of the former worker who obtained a position at the Visit València Foundation, defending the transparency of the process.
