The Valencian Community kicks off its university entrance exams (PAU) today with 25,666 students, ensuring 100% minimum services despite the indefinite teacher strike.

The Valencian Community begins its university entrance exams (PAU) this Tuesday with 25,666 students registered for the mandatory phase. The Ministry of Education assures that both the exams and the correction phase will operate with 100% minimum services, amidst an indefinite teacher strike.
This year's examination session sees an increase of 1,883 students compared to the previous academic year. Of the total registered, 15,156 are women and 10,510 are men. In last year's ordinary session, 95.68% of students passed the mandatory phase, with an average access grade of 7.228 out of 10.
The territorial distribution of examination boards will take place at the University of Valencia (16 boards), the Polytechnic University of Valencia (12), the University of Alicante (10), the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (11), and the Jaume I University of Castellón (6). This decentralization model facilitates exam administration in various locations, avoiding unnecessary travel.
The PAU exams will span three consecutive days. On Tuesday, June 2nd, exams will start with Spanish Language and Literature II (09:30 h) and History of Philosophy (11:45 h). On Wednesday, June 3rd, students will take exams in foreign languages (09:30 h) and History of Spain (11:45 h), along with optional subjects. The ordinary session will conclude on Thursday, June 4th, with the Valencian language exam (09:30 h) and core modality subjects.
Exam results will be published on Friday, June 12th, from 13:00 onwards, allowing students to check their grades and begin the university pre-registration process. The extraordinary examination session is scheduled from June 30th to July 1st and 2nd.
