The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published the announcement from the State Roadways Division in the Valencian Community regarding the approval of the public and official information file and the definitive route project for the direct connection between the V-30 and the A-3 highways in the direction of Madrid. This action will involve a new bridge crossing the new riverbed of the Turia.
The resolution, dated June 18, notes that coordination with the Xirivella City Council will be considered for the incorporation of urban integration measures for the projected infrastructures. Among these, a new cycle-pedestrian walkway will be designed between the La Luz neighborhood and Avenida del Turia, near the underpass of the old railway line. This walkway will allow crossing the new Turia riverbed and connect these two areas of the municipality of Xirivella. Additionally, the current itinerary of the A-3 bridge will be readapted exclusively for pedestrian traffic, to maintain the "current balance of public facilities".
Measures for acoustic protection to be adopted within the scope of the action will also be detailed and evaluated. These include the installation of acoustic screens on the right bank of the V-30 towards the A-7, as well as on the right bank of the V-30 towards the port, adjacent to the urban area of Xirivella, and the potential application of sound-absorbing mixtures in the affected sections of the V-30 and A-3.
Furthermore, possible measures to reduce the acoustic impact of the action in the vicinity of Plaza Vicentica La Serrana will be studied. Measures for the redevelopment, humanization, and urban integration of the old A-3/V-30 interchange in the section of Vicente Lladró Sena street up to Plaza de España will be designed and evaluated, through the transfer of ownership of these spaces to Xirivella.
Finally, lighting solutions for the road platforms of the interchange between the V-30 and A-3 will be detailed and evaluated, as well as for the projected cycle-pedestrian routes. Specifically, the covered passages of these cycle-pedestrian routes will be equipped with lighting to improve nighttime visibility and user safety.
Coordination maintained with the Confederation of Hydrographic Works of the Júcar (CHJ) will continue regarding the design criteria for the drainage system and measures for minimizing impact on the water environment, as well as for the protection of assets belonging to this river basin authority.
